When we got into Malmö, the poster I made for the show was up everywhere. A total warm welcome.
Welcome to KRETS. Left to Right, Kyle Ranson, Anna Granqvist, Jonatan Jacobson, Cindy Lee, Breezy Culbertson, and Oliver Halsman Rosenberg.
Our show was part of the Malmö Fest, here's the pull out section of the weekly paper advertising all the happenings. (Thanks Lina Linde for letting us crash at your place!)
Sweden was a lush and green summer dream scape
Our old S.F. pal Oliver Halsman Rosenberg has been rolling his bones in India for the last year and decided to make take a jaunt up to Sweden to get married. Here's Ollie with his lovely wife Djamilla.
Many fine dinners were made and many more glasses were raised in merry old Sweden.
Iron chef Kyle Ranson shredding in Anna's kitchen.
Soon enough, things got underway back at the gallery. We started mapping out the show, Kyle & Oliver started on their murals, and a local reporter interviewed us for the newspaper.
Psychotic reactions and carburetor dung.
Kyle Ranson & Oliver Halsman Rosenberg's finished murals.
Break time with Breezy, Oliver, Andrew, and Sergeant Slaughter ...oops, I mean Kyle.
We plunged into the depths of the Baltic Sea. Kyle (left) and Oliver (right)
Places like this always make me wish we could have a proper summer and swim a little in San Francisco. ho hum.
The adorable newly-weds.
Somewhere along the way Kyle deemed it necessary to get a tattoo of a "Swedish meatball." Oliver obliged him. stick, poke, stick, poke.
Before we knew it it was opening night for our show. HELLO SWEDEN!
The folks poured in.
The fellow with his head turned in this photo was named Gustav, Breezy couldn't pronounce his name, so she just referred to him as "Pissed-Off" (Cultural sensitivity training with Breezy Culbertson)

Epic perusing ensued.
Kyle and I played some jams for the opening too (we recorded the above song a couple days after this photo when the gallery was empty).

Outside hangtime with Breezy, Cindy, and the nice lady that ran the record store next door.
And that was, as they say, was that. Thank you Sweden!
